Our Team
Alex Padgett
Founder
Alex is the founder and vision behind 128. His wide array of day to day responsibilities encompass Creative Directing, Talent Buying, Marketing and Promoting. Alex graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder, with a degree in Film Production. Studying Film Production further exposed Alex to film directors such as Tim Burton & Stanley Kubrick, who help inspire a cinematic vision to all 128 events. Pasqual Rotella is another massive inspiration in the way he spares no expense to curate an experience for his events, along with putting a focal point on headliners. Alex’s ongoing goal is “striving to create a lifetime worth of memories in a one night experience”. With Alex’s creative and visionary thinking, it is no surprise Eric Prydz is his favorite DJ.
Rob West
Chief Operations
Brent Steinhause
Chief Finance
Brent, a Co Founder of 128, is a behind the scenes specialist. He may not always be working in the spotlight of the music industry, but the 128 gears are halted without his hard work and dedication. Brent attended CU Boulder where he majored in Real Estate and Finance. His schooling and professional career help him serve as an excellent lead in Finance, Accounting, Legal Advice, and Business Management. Brent’s goal is “To be one of the most recognized promotion companies in the mountain region. I want people to know that 128 is a destination, not just a place for good music.” His goal aligns closely with his industry inspiration, Insomniac, who are at the top of the game in event hosting and promoting. Brent’s favorite DJ is Eric Prydz.
Wesley Padgett
Artist Relations
The way to distinguish Wesley amongst the other Co Founders of 128 is by spotting the person with the biggest smile in the room. Despite taking on major roles including Artist Relations and Hospitality Management, his laid back nature allows him to stay cool and collective at even the most chaotic of moments. When he is not working or assisting with 128, Wesley is in the studio producing tracks. “When it comes to production I try not to limit myself to the kinds of music that inspire my productions. I get lots of inspiration from various types of electronic music, hip-hop, and even mariachi music.” Wesley’s goal is to create and share as much undiscovered music as possible. “To visibly see someone’s excitement of loving a song and never hearing it before is one of my favorite feelings.” Wesley studied Mass Communication at Colorado State University of Pueblo and his favorite DJ is Deadmau5!
Sam Beranek
Marketing
Sam, aka “House Mom”, is our marketing specialist, guru, and shamen. Her education at CU Boulder enhances her ability in managing social media, digital communication and marketing strategy. Sam has a couple industry inspirations that stand out above the rest; “Reid Speed. She came up as one of the few female DJs in the late 90s New York underground scene and later on went to start her own insanely successful label. And Rick Rubin, because obviously.” Sam would eventually like to dip her toes in the world of A&R. Female A&R’s are often overlooked in the industry and Sam wants to contribute in pioneering that change. Her favorite DJ at the moment is Fred Again…
Amber Deslisle
Talent Buyer
Amber is a respected and accomplished Talent Buyer for 128. Growing up all the way down unda (Australia), we are lucky to have been blessed with her skillset, charisma, and drive. Amber believes “Music is one of the most important things in the world. The way it makes others feel inspired me to dedicate my life to the industry.” Her immediate objective is to grow as a Talent Buyer both individually and with 128. Her (hopefully not so long) long term goal is to book a show at Red Rocks. Amber’s favorite DJ group is Disclosure.
Decker Rush
Operations & Merch Coordinator
Decker is a recent and valued addition to the 128 team! Coming from a background in the beverage space handling everything from brand activation, social media, apparel design & procurement, Decker’s wide skillset makes him a valued asset on the team. Sometimes sporting a cowboy hat and gold chain, you can find Decker new boot goofin his way through life with a smile so big that it screams “he used to have adult braces.” Decker’s main goal in life is to make people dance as much as possible with his music he is cooking up in the studio and his biggest musical influences are Rufus Du Sol, John Mayer, and John Summit.
